Victor Dupuis, New England Fine Artist
As a native New Englander, Victor Dupuis has always adored a breathtaking walk in our vibrant autumn woods, the seasonal changes in our manner our activities and the ever shifting sunlight. Some of his more dramatic scenes are filtered through years of living with these shifts in our behavior, from deep winter nesting with muted tones, to spring's vivacious greens and pastels, to the busy planting season, to summer's lazy sea-side lounging, and autumn's crisp colors and frenzied harvesting. His unique interpretation of our classic American lifestyle comes through in bold tones and soft, true light.

Sally Cragin of the Boston Globe writes,

Victor's long experience as an actor/designer complement his sensibilities as a painter. His work shows a love of Impressionist and Pre-Raphaelite painting. He's drawn to creating unusual sources of light in his work, like backlighting in a stage production.

Victor studied art at UMASS Lowel, majoring in painting and art education. He's been an award-winning artist, tutor and actor in and around Boston for over thirty years, and has continuously taught and sold his own work privately. His current work can be viewed locally at Design at 639, 639 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA, Boulder Gallery, 960 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA and Rollstone Studios, 633 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA.
